High school seniors have to make a choice soon about college. This special edition is about how we can support them.

Mer has published a blog series called Financial Aid, College Choice, and COVID-19.

  • In the first article, Financial Aid, College Choice, and COVID-19, she describes the series and then focuses on a Tale of Six Colleagues.
  • The second article is The Financial Aid Conundrum. Mer's study of this issue for almost 2 decades, coupled with partner Moneythink's research, insights from the last few months and COVID, are summarized here (we say summary loosely, it's a 13-minute read!).
  • The third article is The Power of Student Resilience and Choice. Here, Mer highlights Moneythink's webinars, stresses their concept of affordability, and highlights Moneythink's tools.
  • The last article is Supporting Students & Families through the Conundrum. Here, Mer directs messaging to students, allies, and colleges to support our students through this specific crisis, but also moving forward since this is a largely systemic and persistent problem for our students. Mer also stresses the importance of financial literacy and highlights a Paying for College curriculum thanks to Next Gen Personal Finance.
